Goodwill of Greater Washington is seeking a reliable janitorial associate to provide preventative cleaning for our retail store in Germantown, MD, following green cleaning methods and industry best practices.

You will perform dusting, mopping, vacuuming, trash removal, and reporting safety hazards; must lift up to 40 pounds; two years cleaning experience; pass background/drug check; strong customer service.

Qualifications

• Two years of commercial cleaning experience.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to decipher danger signs.
• Proven dependability and customer service.
• Pass background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of all assigned areas and ensure store is clean and customer-ready before opening.
• Dust lights, furniture, shelves; mop floors; vacuum carpets; handle trash and ashtrays; spot clean walls and windows.
• Clean, maintain, and secure equipment; report repairs or hazards.
• Notify supervisor of equipment or facility issues or safety concerns.
• Follow safety policies and lifting requirements (up to 40 pounds).
