Job summary

RaceTrac is seeking a Store Associate to deliver an exceptional guest experience in a fast-paced retail setting. You’ll help keep the store clean, stocked, and running smoothly at the register or self-checkout, while suggesting products to enhance guest purchases.

This role offers flexible scheduling (including nights, weekends, and holidays), hands-on training, and clear opportunities for growth as RaceTrac promotes from within.

• Experience in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, prompt service at the register or self-checkout.
• Suggest additional products to enhance guest purchases.
• Address guest concerns with urgency and escalate to managers as needed.
• Keep the store clean and organized, including stocking shelves and display areas.
• Maintain safety and food handling standards where applicable.
• Assist in inventory management and restocking.

What You’ll Do

• Delivering an Exceptional Guest Experience Provide friendly, prompt service at the register or self-checkout
• Suggest additional products to enhance guest purchases
• Address guest concerns with urgency and involve managers as needed
• Foster a team-oriented, respectful work environment
• Help Keep Our Stores Stocked & Fresh Ensure food and beverage items are available and up to quality standards
• Maintain cleanliness in food prep areas and follow all safety regulations
• Restock shelves, coolers, and display areas as needed
• Keep It Clean & Organized Maintain a clean, welcoming store environment inside and out
• Complete regular cleaning tasks to ensure a great experience for guests
• Assist in inventory management and restocking

What We’re Looking For

• High School Diploma or GED (or in progress)
• Previous experience in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment is a plus
• A team player who takes the initiative and enjoys working with people
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks like bending and standing
• May be required to obtain and maintain food handler or alcohol server permits, depending on state/local regulations
