Job summary

United States Department of Defense, Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA), seeks Store Associates to operate in commissary stores, stocking groceries and checking out customers. Must meet OPM qualifications for 1101, with options of experience, education, or a combination.

The position requires the ability to stand and lift up to 40 pounds, and overtime is occasional. Telework is not eligible; work environment includes temperature changes near doors.

Qualifications

• 1 year of progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work indicating ability to acquire the required skills.
• Two (2) full years of education above high school.
• Combination of experience and education: calculate months of experience/12 and semester hours/30; total must be 100% to qualify.

Responsibilities

• Store Associates work independently or as part of a team, stocking grocery and produce items, and handling checkout of customer purchases.
