Job summary

TXB is seeking a Store Assistant Manager to support the store management team in daily operations. You will handle cash, assist customers, train staff, and ensure the store runs smoothly.

The role requires reliability, strong communication, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment to help deliver an exceptional guest experience.

Qualifications

• Customer relationship experience is required.
• Successful completion of on-the-job training.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Prolonged standing and working at a cash register.
• May work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis.

Responsibilities

• Assist the store management team to complete store level tasks.
• Provide exceptional customer service and greet guests.
• Balance cash register at shift start and end; process returns and exchanges.
• Assist with cash handling, pricing, and customer inquiries.
• Train and coach other team members on policies and procedures.
• Lead and supervise team members in absence of the General Manager.
• Maintain store cleanliness and stock replenishment.
• Support department goals and store marketing programs.

Job Summary:

The store assistant manager works in support of the store management team to facilitate the completion of all store level tasks and performs a variety of tasks related to different areas of the store including, but not limited to cash register tasks, customer service, general housekeeping and other related functions. The store assistant manager ensures an exceptional customer experience that supports our purpose to “Leave ‘em Better”.

Essential Functions:

• Reliable transportation
• Abide by all applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations/certifications.

• Be reliable, punctual, honest, and have a good attitude.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Ability to operate available equipment, such as cash registers, calculators, or scanners.
• Basic mathematical skills, as needed to make change and give refunds.
• Knowledgeable about company’s products and services, and customer-related policies.
• Ability to train other team members on company policies, practices, and procedures
• Ability to lead and supervise other team members effectively.
• Responsible for all store operations while on-duty in the absence of the General Manager.

• Greets customers as they enter the location.
• Accepts money in the form of cash, credit, and debit cards for items purchased.
• Assists customers with questions or price discrepancies.
• Ensures accurate transactions by balancing cash register at the beginning and end of shift, and sales at the end of shift.
• Processes returns and exchanges according to store policy.
• Identifies prices of products and services and tabulates bills with available equipment.
• Assists customers in locating various products, resolving complaints, or providing information.
• Bag, box, and wrap purchased items.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals
• Ensure the proper execution of all assigned store level marketing programs.
• Complete all store housekeeping functions (i.e., cleaning, dusting, sweeping, mopping, emptying trash, etc.).
• Assists the store manager in all aspects of leading and managing the facility.
• Replenish products and supplies to ensure in stock conditions at all times.
• Check in external and internal vendors according to corporate procedures.
• Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
• Be an example of consistency and professionalism for all team members
• Ability to clearly perform and coach others in the expectations of all positions within the store.
• Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resource.

Qualifications: Experience, Competencies, and Education

• Education and Experience:
  • Customer relationship experience is required
  • Successful completion of on-the-job training.
• Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Prolonged periods standing and working on cash register or related equipment.
  • May need to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis.
  • Ability to perform repetitive movements over long periods of time.
• Competencies:
  • Patience and expertise that is required to direct and conduct training.
  • Basic computer skills with the ability to operate multiple devices.
  • Possess the desire and ability to understand various computer software programs such as Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and word.
  • Have a good understanding of the register systems, troubleshooting, and the back office software.
