Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a Storage Systems Engineer to design and maintain distributed storage system software, integrate across storage, networking, and OS layers, and drive high-availability clustering solutions.

You will debug complex issues, develop automation tooling, and support containerized deployments while coordinating with cross-functional teams in a primarily onsite role at a Colorado office.

Qualifications

• Linux systems expertise (systemd, RHEL/Rocky, debugging).
• Building and integrating 3rd party and vendor kernel modules with OS.
• Storage: MD, RAID, ZFS, XFS, ext4, block vs object storage.
• High Availability: Pacemaker/Corosync.
• Programming: C/C++, plus Go/Python/Bash scripting.
• Networking: TCP/IP, Ethernet, IB, RDMA/RoCE.
• Hardware: SAS, SCSI, NVMe, HBAs.
• APIs: REST/HTTPS, gRPC, Redfish/Swordfish.
• Containerization/Virtualization: Docker/Podman, KVM/VMware.

The expected salary/wage range for this position is provided below. Actual offer may vary from this range based upon geographic location, work experience, education/training, and/or skill level.

- United States of America: Annual Salary USD 111,500 - 211,500 in Colorado // 106,000 - 243,000 in Minnesota

The listed salary range reflects base salary. Variable incentives may also be offered.
