Apple Services Engineering (ASE) designs, builds, and operates the cloud infrastructure powering Apple's experiences. The Storage Platforms team develops durable, secure, highly available storage systems at massive scale for Seattle-based operations.

We are looking for collaborative, pragmatic engineers to shape features, design low-level storage, and maintain mission-critical distributed systems that empower billions of moments worldwide.

Qualifications

• 3 years of professional software development experience.
• Experience building storage systems.
• 2+ years of coding in Rust, C++, Java or C#.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related engineering field.

Responsibilities

• Shape features and architecture as the product scales orders of magnitude.
• Develop and maintain large-scale distributed storage systems.
• Design storage device-optimized low-level storage solutions.
• Optimize IO stacks for availability and durability.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver resilient platforms at Apple.
• Drive operational excellence across storage platform infrastructure.
