Job summary

A professional IT services firm is searching for a Storage & Backup/Recovery Engineer for a contract opportunity in Plano, TX. The ideal candidate will deliver Data Protection, Backup, and Recovery services, closely working with project management and IT teams. Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Storage and Backup/Recovery platforms.
• Comfortable using both GUI and CLI.
• Basic understanding of network infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day operational activities for Storage and Backup/Recovery teams.
• Produce regular reports for cost recovery and capacity planning.
• Responsible for capacity planning of backup and recovery infrastructure.

Skills

Experience in AVAMAR Backup Tool

Strong knowledge of EMC Avamar concepts

AVAMAR server/client installation

Multi-site replication experience

Creating and modifying backup policies

Support of backup clients for multiple OS

AVAMAR system migration concepts

Data Domain experience

Experience with storage platforms

Team player with good communication skills
