Voya Financial, Inc. is seeking a Claims professional capable of reviewing complex claims and related situations, using discretion and critical thinking to make informed decisions. The role offers flexibility with 100% remote work or a hybrid schedule at major office locations.

Minimum 3–5 years of claims or insurance experience and strong MS Excel skills are required. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, with opportunities for career development and competitive compensation.

• Manage claim suspense accounts to ensure accurate processing and financial reporting.
• Oversee mid-policy period and year end audits.
• Assist in developing and implementing process improvements.
• Participate in department or company projects and initiatives.
• Support Stop Loss Claims Systems Testing.
• Handle other duties as assigned.

Please Note: Work location for this role is FLEXIBLE! This position allows 100% remote work from home or allows work to be performed in any of our major office locations with a hybrid schedule.

The Contributions You’ll Make

• Review complex claims and/or situations and make informed decisions that may require judgment by providing directions on excess risk claims.
• Respond to internal and external claim or reporting inquiries from managers, brokers, general agents, and administrators.
• Responsible for providing direction, developing, training, and mentoring less experienced claims staff, including completing audits and providing feedback.
• Manage claim suspense accounts that will ensure accurate claim processing, appropriate financial reporting, and controls.
• Manage mid-policy period and year end audit.
• Assist in developing and implementing process improvement.
• Participate and/or facilitate various department and/or company project and special initiatives
• Stop Loss Claims Systems Testing
• Other duties and projects as assigned

Minimum Knowledge & Experience

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 3-5-years claims or insurance experience
• Knowledge of industry related claim systems and practices
• Must be proficient in MS Excel (macros, pivots and formulas)
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Demonstrated leadership skills
• Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

Preferred Knowledge & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree preferred

Compensation Pay Disclosure

Voya is committed to pay that’s fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles and responsibilities. The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate’s geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part‑time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

$45,180 - $75,300 USD
