Job summary

KG Stevens, Inc. is seeking a countertop finishing worker in Milwaukee to sand, shape and finish solid surface countertops according to customer specs. The job requires reading shop drawings, using routers and sanders, and safely handling heavy materials.

You will operate equipment, verify measurements, and help install sinks while maintaining a clean, safe workspace. Based on experience, the role offers full- or part-time hours with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Read and follow shop drawings in English.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and job drawings.
• Read measurements and perform cuts within 1/32" tolerance.
• 6 months to 1 year countertop industry experience or strong desire to learn.
• Safety conscious and able to work around heavy materials and machinery.
• Good time management and ability to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Use orbital sanders and routers to sand and shape solid surface countertops.
• Operate overhead crane to load/unload slabs onto work tables.
• Use pneumatic polishing tools to shape and polish stone.
• Install undermount and integrated sinks and drill holes as needed.
• Review specs and ensure dimensions match shop drawings.
• Keep work area clean and adhere to safety procedures.
• Assist with additional duties as needed.
