Job summary

Flooring Services, LTD in Texas is seeking a skilled fabricator to interpret blueprints and fabricate stone pieces to spec. The role requires operating forklifts and related machinery, using hand and power tools, and achieving precise cut and finish work on stone surfaces.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in fabrication, manufacturing, construction, or related fields involving heavy lifting and materials handling.
• Familiarity with the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and machining devices for stone processing.
• Warehouse experience or familiarity with heavy equipment operation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Measure and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate fabrication of stone pieces according to project specifications.
• Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts and other machinery for materials handling and transportation within the workspace.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and machining equipment to cut, shape, polish, and finish stone surfaces with precision.
• Follow safety protocols by consistently wearing PPE, including respiratory protection, gloves, eye protection, and hearing protection.
• Handle heavy materials safely through proper lifting techniques and equipment operation to prevent injury and material damage.
• Perform dimensional measurements using tape measures and other tools to verify accuracy before assembly or finishing processes.
• Maintain a clean workspace by organizing materials, tools, and waste disposal in accordance with safety standards in production environments.
