Job summary

Scheels is seeking a store operations associate in Appleton, WI. The role focuses on organizing backroom spaces, maintaining inventory, and supporting teams with loading and unloading products. You will work under Scheels safety expectations and help manage fixture storage and freight movements.

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate has 1-2 years of related experience or training in a retail environment.
• Experience using hand and power tools is preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist associates by organizing, managing, and cleaning backroom spaces and fixture storage areas.
• Updating warehouse and store inventory.
• Lead a team in the execution of the plan according to Scheels safety expectations.
• Establish product clearing expectations before the date of the event.
• Help identify products in bulk that can be taken to off-site storage.
• Assist customers and salespeople with retrieving and loading purchased products.
• Organize, categorize, and transport freight and fixtures to and from the warehouse.
• Communicate effectively and promptly with strong oral/written skills.
• Be knowledgeable of all equipment and tools, and how to use them properly.
• Assist in the removal of snow and debris from walkways, rooftops, and landscaping around the building.
• Work with a team and cover absent teammates in other areas of the store.
• Maintain an orderly appearance of personal workspace and surrounding areas, including off-site warehouses.
• Other duties as assigned by the leadership team.
