Job summary

Maine Drilling & Blasting Inc in Gardiner, ME seeks a Stockroom/Inventory Clerk to receive, stock, and issue drill accessories. You will manage inventory levels, utilize Acumatica WMS, and support procurement with item recommendations. Forklift certified personnel are preferred and training is provided.

Typical hours are 7:30am to 4:00pm, with possible overtime. This role involves lifting 50–80 lbs, both indoor and outdoor work, under various weather conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• General industry knowledge preferred.
• Good oral communications skills.
• General understanding of Microsoft software incl. spreadsheets.
• Self-starter with hands-on experience.
• Flexible and able to make decisions in the company’s best interest.

Responsibilities

• Receive and disperse supplies following company policies.
• Maintain inventory levels and document stock with Acumatica WMS.
• Provide stock information to Procurement Manager.
• Operate computer tasks like Email and data entry.
• Unload drill accessories and verify quantities on arrival.
• Read work orders and prioritize drill bit sharpening.
• Perform weekly PM maintenance on the sharpening machine.
• Safely operate company vehicle for offsite deliveries as needed.

Typical Duties:

• Receive and disperse supplies in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Maintain adequate assigned inventory levels.
• Provide information and recommendations about stock supplies to the Procurement Manager.
• Perform regular functions with a computer including Email, Virtual Calls, Data Entry, and others as required.
• Maintain drill accessories inventory log via Acumatica WMS.
• Receive Purchase Orders and issue out drill accessories to Job Numbers via Acumatica WMS .
• Maintain stock room in an orderly and professional manner.
• Verify quantities and unpack, inspect, and stock material.
• Unload drill accessory deliveries via forklift
• Set- up and operate drill-sharpening machine to sharpen ‘used’ drill bits returned by company drillers as needed.
• Read work order to determine priority, number and size of drill bits to be sharpened.
• Evaluate bits for potential sharpening or disposal.
• Perform weekly drill-sharpening machine PM maintenance according to manufacturer’s recommendation.
• Perform or schedule Building maintenance for specified areas.
• Safely operate company vehicle for offsite deliveries as necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.

• General Understanding of Microsoft Software including spreadsheet applications.
• Self starter with hands on experience.
• Must be flexible and able to make decisions that are in the company’s best interest.

Job Requirements:

• Ability to perform essential functions of the position.
• Ability to lift 50 - 80 lbs.
• Inside office and Outside environment. All weather conditions.
• Work on uneven and loose surfaces.
• Stooping and bending 30 – 40% of the time.
• Work from 7:30am to 4:00pm
• Overtime may be required.
• Forklift Certification Required (Company can Provide)
• Pass the Company Standard MVR
