Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company LLC is seeking a Stock Handler for a long-term assignment based in Petersburg, VA. The role reports to the Warehouse Supervisor and requires working a 4x10 schedule (06:00–16:30, Monday to Thursday). Local candidates only.

Responsibilities include receiving stock, inventory control, and order preparation. Qualifications include an entry-level background with a high school diploma or equivalent, proficiency in MS Office, inventory software, and SAP experience

Qualifications

• Entry level position requiring high school diploma or equivalent.
• Familiarity with inventory management and MS Office.
• Experience with SAP software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Receive and unload stock: Inspect deliveries, verify quantities against orders.
• Inventory management: Maintain stock records, perform counts, update systems.
• Stock organization: Store items in orderly locations for easy access.
• Order preparation: Pick, pack, and prepare items for shipment or internal distribution.
• Equipment operation: Safely use forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
• Workplace maintenance: Keep storage areas clean and compliant with safety standards.

About the role:

• Reporting to Warehouse Supervisor
• Local Candidates only
• 4x10 schedule, 06:00 to 16:30 Monday - Thursday

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive and unload stock: Accept deliveries, inspect items for damage, and verify quantities against purchase orders or invoices
• Inventory management: Maintain accurate records of stock levels, perform regular counts, and update inventory systems
• Stock organization: Place items on shelves, racks, or storage areas in a systematic order for easy access and retrieval.
• Order preparation: Pick, pack, and prepare items for shipment or internal distribution.
• Equipment operation: Use forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment safely.
• Workplace maintenance: Keep storage areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
