Essential Job Functions
- Receive, inspect, and unpack merchandise deliveries in a timely manner.
- Check inventory against purchase orders and ensure accuracy in quantities and quality.
- Organize and stock shelves, racks, and displays according to planograms and store layout guidelines.
- Rotate products to ensure the oldest stock is placed at the front to maintain freshness.
- Monitor inventory levels and notify management of low stock or potential shortages.
- Assist with periodic inventory counts and contribute to accurate inventory records.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the stockroom, backroom, and sales floor areas.
- Ensure proper labeling and pricing of products and update as necessary.
- Assist customers with locating items and provide friendly, helpful customer service.
- Collaborate with the store team to implement promotional displays and maintain an attractive store appearance.
- Adhere to safety and security guidelines, including proper handling of hazardous materials and compliance with health and sanitation regulations.
- Follow company policies and procedures, including those related to cash handling and loss prevention.
Qualifications
- People‑first mentality; fast, friendly service with a smile.
- Prior experience in retail or customer service is preferred but not required.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.
- Previous experience in retail or stock handling is preferred but not required.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy boxes or objects.
- Basic math skills for inventory tracking and price calculations.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
