Job summary

Restaurant Depot is seeking a Stocker - Produce to join the Produce department and help stock shelves, assist customers, and keep the warehouse clean and safe.

Responsibilities include rotating stock, ensuring accurate shelf pricing, and following HACCP guidelines. The role is full/part-time, hourly, with union benefits and health coverage.

Responsibilities

• Provides prompt, courteous, and friendly customer service.
• Removes boxes from pallets and places them on shelves and opens boxes to restock shelves.
• Organizes and front-faces items on shelves.
• Performs inspections to meet HACCP regulations.
• Assists in daily inventory reviews for rotation to prevent shrinkage and damages.
• Ensures shelf pricing is correct and reflects the latest prices.
• Maintains warehouse cleanliness via regular cleaning and pallet organization.
• Monitors floor safety and promptly handles spills and trash removal.
• Coordinates with Hi-Lo operators to keep selling floor stocked and safe.
• Notifies supervisors of low stock or out-of-stock items.

Position Summary:

Responsible for providing prompt and courteous customer service, stocking product on shelves, and maintaining clean and safe work areas throughout the warehouse.

Essential Functions:

1. Provides prompt, courteous, and friendly customer service.
2. Removes boxes from pallets and places them on shelves as well as opens boxes and removes single items to re-stock shelves
3. Organizes and front faces items on shelves
4. Perform the proper inspections to meet HACCP regulations
5. Assists in the review of inventory for product rotation daily to prevent shrinkage and damages.
6. Ensures that shelf pricing is correct and reflects the most recent pricing
7. Follows program to maintain the cleanliness of the warehouse by a regular maintenance schedule of scrubbing and pulling out pallets and cleaning underneath.
8. Continuously reviews status of department floors for safety hazards. Promptly and safely handles any spills and removes any trash such as plastic wrap, plastic ties, pieces of wood or any other trash gets immediately removed from the floor and discarded appropriately.
9. Works with Hi-Lo operators to ensure that the selling floor remains stocked & safe by promptly returning overstock pallets to the overhead reserves.
10. Promptly informs supervisors of any low stock/out of stock merchandise.

Physical demands include, but are not limited to:

1. Walking/standing on concrete up to 10 hours/day
2. Frequently turning, standing, reaching, stooping, and/or bending
3. Frequently pushing/pulling objects 500 to 1,500 lbs.
4. Frequently lifting/carrying objects more than 60 lbs.

Work Environment:

1. Requires frequent exposure to cold/freezing temperatures
2. Equipment in motion (forklifts, electric pallet jacks, scooters)
3. Performs other work-related duties as required and assigned.
4. May be required to work in other departments as needed.
