Job summary

Restaurant Depot is a wholesale cash-and-carry foodservice distributor with 150+ warehouses across 37 states. The Stocker - Freezer position supports prompt customer service, stocking, and safe, clean work areas in a freezer environment. This role involves loading, shelving, and inventory checks as part of daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Provides prompt, courteous customer service.
• Removes boxes from pallets and restocks shelves.
• Organizes and front faces items on shelves.
• Performs HACCP inspections to meet regulations.
• Assists in daily inventory reviews to prevent shrinkage.
• Ensures shelf pricing reflects latest pricing.
• Maintains warehouse cleanliness per schedule including scrubbing under pallets.
• Checks floors for safety hazards; handles spills and removes trash.
• Coordinates with Hi-Lo operators to keep stocking safe.
• Notifies supervisors of low or out-of-stock merchandise.

Position Summary:

Responsible for providing prompt and courteous customer service, stocking product on shelves, and maintaining clean and safe work areas throughout the warehouse.

Essential Functions:

1. Provides prompt, courteous, and friendly customer service.
2. Removes boxes from pallets and places them on shelves as well as opens boxes and removes single items to re-stock shelves
3. Organizes and front faces items on shelves
4. Perform the proper inspections to meet HACCP regulations
5. Assists in the review of inventory for product rotation daily to prevent shrinkage and damages.
6. Ensures that shelf pricing is correct and reflects the most recent pricing
7. Follows program to maintain the cleanliness of the warehouse by a regular maintenance schedule of scrubbing and pulling out pallets and cleaning underneath.
8. Continuously reviews status of department floors for safety hazards. Promptly and safely handles any spills and removes any trash such as plastic wrap, plastic ties, pieces of wood or any other trash gets immediately removed from the floor and discarded appropriately.
9. Works with Hi-Lo operators to ensure that the selling floor remains stocked & safe by promptly returning overstock pallets to the overhead reserves.
10. Promptly informs supervisors of any low stock/out of stock merchandise.

Physical demands include, but are not limited to:

1. Walking/standing on concrete up to 10 hours/day
2. Frequently turning, standing, reaching, stooping, and/or bending
3. Frequently pushing/pulling objects 500 to 1,500 lbs.
4. Frequently lifting/carrying objects more than 60 lbs.

Work Environment:

1. Requires frequent exposure to cold/freezing temperatures
2. Equipment in motion (forklifts, electric pallet jacks, scooters)
3. Performs other work-related duties as required and assigned.
4. May be required to work in other departments as needed.
