Job summary

Maola Local Dairies in Newport News, VA is seeking a Stocker for the 2nd shift to properly place products in the cooler while following quality guidelines. The role is on-site, 4:00pm–12:30am, with overtime, weekends and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift 50–60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Notify supervisor of any products with issues; including, but not limited to, product without dates, incorrect dates, leaking cartons, short-filled units or cases, or any empty cases in a stack.
• Places products in the assigned area, stacking 5 or 6 cases high, 12 stacks to each row.
• Places dates on products facing the selector line making sure that new products are not placed in front of, or on top of existing products.
• Verifies that products are labeled correctly.
• Notifies the console operator of any product mixing before products may reach the palletizer.
• Cleans and hoses down all spills.
• Notifies supervisor of leaking products and any waste products resulting in spills.
• Inspect areas around chains for milk drops; cleans and hoses down area accordingly.
• Other duties as assigned.

SUMMARY

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma, General Education Degree (GED), or International Education Equivalent.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
