Job description

As a stocking team member, you will unload deliveries as well as stock and merchandise products on the sales floor and backrooms. If you love working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment and enjoy being part of an energetic team, Wegmans is the place for you!

What will I do?

1. Provide excellent service and answer customer questions in a timely manner.
2. Unload daily deliveries and stock cases, displays, and backroom coolers with new and existing products/inventory.
3. Verify that the quantity, quality, and products delivered match invoices and assist the department in tracking vendor credits and records of inventory, damages, and variances.
4. Ensure shelves and cases are clean, well-stocked, and appealing by keeping them organized.
5. Maximize sales through effective stocking, rotating, and merchandising of products on the sales floor and in the back rooms and coolers/freezers.
6. Handle products properly, use equipment safely, keep accurate logs, and follow sanitation practices in accordance with food and human safety guidelines.
7. May work in and be exposed to cold temperatures; lift weights of 8-32 pounds on average, with occasional lifts over 50 pounds.
