Job summary

Emish Market in Fife, WA is seeking a reliable Stocker to join our grocery team. You will stock shelves, organize products, and ensure displays are clean and visually appealing while maintaining FIFO and proper dating.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, and organize merchandise and deliveries
• Stock shelves, displays, coolers, refrigerators, and freezers according to store standards
• Rotate refrigerated, frozen, and shelf-stable products by FIFO
• Check product dates and remove expired or damaged products
• Maintain clean, faced, and fully stocked shelves and coolers
• Monitor product levels and communicate low-stock items to management
• Move and organize boxes, cases, and other merchandise
• Follow proper food handling and temperature control procedures
• Ensure a clean and safe work environment
• Assist customers and direct them to departments
• Work with cashiers and other staff

Job description

Emish Market, located in Fife, WA, is a Ukrainian grocery store offering a wide selection of imported goods from Ukraine and other European countries. Alongside our full-service café, bakery, and meat department, we provide customers with a variety of fresh food, grocery products, and specialty European goods.

We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Stocker to join our store team. The ideal candidate is organized, physically capable, attentive to detail, and comfortable working in a fast-paced grocery environment. This position is responsible for keeping shelves fully stocked, products organized, and the sales floor clean and presentable.

Work Schedule: Mon - Wed, Fri, Sat: 9:00 am - 5:30 pm

Pay Range: $18/hour

Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, and organize merchandise and deliveries
• Stock shelves, displays, coolers, refrigerators, and freezers according to store standards
• Properly organize and maintain products in refrigerators and freezers
• Rotate refrigerated, frozen, and shelf-stable products according to FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures
• Check product dates and remove expired or damaged products
• Ensure shelves, refrigerators, and freezers are properly faced, organized, clean, and fully stocked
• Maintain clean and organized stockrooms, storage areas, refrigerators, and freezers
• Monitor product levels and communicate low-stock items to management
• Assist with moving and organizing boxes, cases, and other merchandise
• Properly label and price products when required
• Assist with maintaining attractive and organized displays
• Follow proper food handling, temperature control, and storage procedures for refrigerated and frozen products
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Follow all company safety procedures and store standards
• Assist customers when needed and direct them to the appropriate department or employee
• Work collaboratively with cashiers, department employees, managers, and other store staff
• Perform other store-related duties as assigned by management
