Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a Stock Worker and Receiver at Liberty University to provide administrative and logistical support to warehouse operations, including receiving merchandise, unloading goods, stocking shelves, and assisting customers with orders. The role involves moving items, processing shipments, and coordinating with vendors.

Candidates should have 0-1 year of experience, may need a valid driver’s license, and forklift certification could be required.

Qualifications

• 0-1 year of experience in stock/receiving or similar role.
• May require a valid driver’s license.
• Forklift operation certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment.
• Receive, lift, move, store, issue, counts, sorts, weighs, and verify items on requisitions or invoices.
• Process a wide variety of incoming freight daily across perimeter buildings and according to priority.
• Compare shipments to bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records to verify information.
• Determine method of shipment, considering routes, and rates.
• Coordinate delivery schedules with vendors, carriers, and internal departments.
• Unpack and examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items, and arrange rectifications.
• Fill orders, issue supplies from stock, and rotate stock to ensure freshness.
• Resolve delivery problems using a computerized accounts payable/purchasing system.
• Significant walking or other mobility; stand for extended periods; lift up to 50 pounds.
