Job summary

USG is seeking a Production General Foreman for Stock Preparation in Michigan to lead the Filler and Liner Plant operations, optimize process performance, and ensure safety and reliability across the stock preparation areas.

The role requires strong leadership, experience with SCADA/DCS systems (Ignition, Foxboro, ABB, Rockwell), and a track record of driving continuous improvement, training, and regulatory compliance in a paper mill environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering preferred.
• 5+ years papermill operations experience preferred.
• 5+ years supervisory or management experience preferred.
• SCADA (DCS, Ignition, etc.) experience.
• Higher level computer skills using Foxboro, ABB, Ignition, Rockwell, etc.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise Stock Preparation areas (Filler and Liner Plant).</br>Coordinate safety programs and model program administration.
• Develop and conduct technician training; ensure staff are properly trained.
• Oversee equipment maintenance and reliability programs; manage capital projects.
• Optimize processes using DCS/SCADA data; drive continuous improvement.
• Maintain records for equipment, safety, permits, and regulatory compliance.
