Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a Food Clerk to provide outstanding customer service with strong product knowledge and friendly interaction. You will contribute to a well-run store by supporting merchandising standards and helping customers across departments.

You will engage with shoppers, stock displays, and use store technology to complete tasks while following safety procedures in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and product knowledge required.
• Able to follow merchandising standards and display guidelines.
• Strong listening and communication skills for in-person and virtual interactions.
• Ability to stay organized, detail-oriented and process-driven.
• Capable of lifting, standing, and moving packages in a retail setting.

Responsibilities

• Build rapport with customers and provide friendly, informed service.
• Display a friendly and outgoing attitude with good eye contact and body language.
• Stock and maintain product displays per merchandising standards.
• Utilize store technology to complete tasks efficiently.
• Follow safety and sanitation procedures to ensure quality service and products.
• Work across departments such as Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Grocery.
