Job summary

Food City is seeking a Stock Associate to support daily store operations in Crossville. You will train and develop stock staff, manage schedules, and conduct performance reviews while upholding policies and ensuring accurate records.

You will also assist with inventory, tagging, deposits, opening/closing, cashier duties, and customer service. The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and reliability to keep shelves stocked and customers served efficiently.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Grocery stocking experience is a plus, but not required.
• Ability to follow verbal and/or written instructions.
• Ability to attend on-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to time and attendance policies.
• Ability to meet standard physical, mental, and visual demands.

Responsibilities

• Train and develop stock associates.
• Provide work scheduling for all stock associates.
• Provide performance reviews on stock associates.
• Follow and implement all policies and procedures.
• Control labor.
• Attend department head meetings as needed.
• Inspect and rotate stock daily.
• Delegate workload of department to stock associates.
• Complete all departmental paperwork and keep accurate records.
• Ensure proper shelf tags are in place.
• Order and maintain inventory levels daily.
• Assist with nightly bank deposits per policies.
• Assist with opening and closing of the store.
• Run register as needed.
• Check refrigeration cases hourly for issues.
• Perform case counts for production projections.
• Provide efficient and courteous service to customers.
• Assist with bagging groceries.
• Enforce and maintain all safety policies.
