The American Red Cross in Hazelwood, MO is hiring a Stock Inventory Assistant II to receive and process department orders, stock blood-product supplies, and coordinate logistics from a central warehouse. You will operate forklifts, perform cycle counts, and handle data entry to support inventory accuracy.

Requirements include a High School diploma, valid driver’s license, basic reading/writing, math and computer skills, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, verify and report discrepancies/damaged materials against receiving documents.
  • Fulfill daily customer orders, prepare transportation documents and deliver materials to end users.
  • Operate Power Industrial Trucks (PIT) such as electric pallet jacks and forklifts.
  • Assist with systemwide electronic inventory management data entry and reporting.
  • Cycle count supplies as needed and assist in ordering processes.
  • Support disaster supplies logistics with humanitarian partners when needed.

In this role you will perform basic receiving and shipping duties to stock and process blood-product supplies; arrange and trouble-shoot delivery logistics to from our blood collection sites.As a Red Cross Team member, you will take care of your team members – show up for every shift and give 100% while you’re there. Store and stack materials to prescribed methods.· Fulfill daily customer orders, prepare transportation documents, deliver materials and supplies to end user and/or departments· Operate Power Industrial Trucks (PIT) such as electric pallet jacks and various forklift equipment.· May assist with systemwide electronic computer inventory management system data entry, reporting functions, and with electronic inventory reconciliation process.· Work with ordering department to assist in the ordering process· Cycle count supplies as needed.· Work with our Humanitarian partners to assist with disaster supplies when needed.· Other duties as neededStandard Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm.Pay Information: Starts at $19.00/hr, goes up based on experience, plus applicable shift differential for working late nights, overnights, and on the weekends.*Note that American Red Cross salaries are aligned to the specific geographic location in which the work is primarily performed. Other factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have and comparison to other employees already in this role.***WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:**· High School diploma or equivalent required.· Valid driver's license and clean DMV record required (up to 25% travel required).· Basic reading, writing, communication, math and computer skills required.· Ability to work on a team.*\\* Combination of candidate’s education and general experience satisfies requirements so long as the total years equate to description’s minimum education and general experience years combined (Management experience cannot be substituted)***WHAT WILL GIVE YOU THE COMPETITIVE EDGE (Preferred Qualifications):*** 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience preferred.* forklift operation experience (if not certified, must be willing to get certified**Physical Requirements:**Requires standing, stretching, stooping and bending for extended time periods. Lift, pull, push and move objects of up to 50 pounds. May work in walk-in refrigerator/freezers for periods of time.
