Job summary

GUESS Factory in San Leandro, CA is hiring a Stock Associate to receive, unpack, and prepare merchandise for the selling floor. You will help maintain a clean, organized stock room and support store operations.

You will replenish merchandise, execute transfers and RTVs, and follow store policies. Candidates should have a high school diploma and prior retail or stockroom experience is preferred. Be physically able to lift up to 30 pounds and work a flexible schedule including weekends.

Job description

Position Overview

The Stock Associate is responsible for receiving, unpacking, and preparing merchandise for the selling floor. They are also responsible for the organization, maintenance, and cleanliness of the stock room.

Reports To

Store Management

Customer Experience

• Create a positive first impression by adhering to the dress code.
• Maintain a sparkling clean and organized environment by upholding store standards and cleanliness both in the stock room and on the selling floor.

Inventory Control

• Notify management of any shipment discrepancies and missed markdowns in the stock room.
• Sensor, steam, fold, and hang merchandise as needed.
• Bring new goods to the selling floor and replenish merchandise from the stock room to the selling floor.
• Execute transfers, RTVs (Return to Vendor), manage damages, and handle customer charge sends.
• Ensure the stock room is organized, clean, and merchandise is floor-ready at all times.

Cooperation & Dependability

• Satisfactorily complete all duties as assigned by management.
• Be punctual and adhere to the designated work schedule.
• Be flexible and work well with peers and management to accomplish duties.
• Follow GUESS Policies and Procedures 100%.
• Actively perform housekeeping and maintenance duties.

Miscellaneous Responsibilities

• Participate in and attend all store meetings and other related functions.
• Represent a positive attitude toward the merchandise and the company.
• Participate in all inventories.
• Assume and complete other duties as assigned by store management.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting in excess of 30 pounds and stand for a minimum of eight hours during scheduled shifts.

Job Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Previous retail or stockroom experience preferred.
