Job summary

Williams-Sonoma, Inc. in Birmingham, MI is seeking a Store Inventory Associate to receive shipments, maintain inventory records, and replenish stock on the sales floor. You will help ensure accurate stock levels and provide excellent service to customers and team members.

In this role, you will scan deliveries, organize stockrooms, and assist on the sales floor during peak times, while upholding company policies and maintaining a clean, efficient store environment.

• Ability to lift and move merchandise and operate stockroom equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
• Scan shipments as delivered and verify accuracy.
• Ticket and stock merchandise in stockroom or prepare for distribution to the sales floor.
• Provide feedback to supervisor regarding inventory levels and damages.
• Organize stockroom by department and categories; stock merchandise on shelves or offsite locations.
• Adjust stocking procedures to keep aisles and exits clear.
• Ensure merchandise is stored, ticketed, logged, and easily located for replenishment.
• Pack and log merchandise for customer deliveries as needed.
• Transport merchandise to/from remote stockroom locations and maintain inventory records.
• Keep stockroom clean, swept, and organized.
• May assist on sales floor during peak times and as assigned.
• Complete tasks listed on daily agenda including store maintenance and cleaning.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures.

• Adjust stocking procedures to ensure aisles and exits are clear
• Ensure that merchandise is safely stored, properly ticketed packaged and logged, and easily located for replenishment
• Pack and log merchandise as required for customer deliveries
• Transport merchandise to and from remote stockroom locations and maintain accurate inventory records
• Ensure that the stockroom is clean, swept, with garbage removed and supplies organized
• May assist on sales floor during peak times and as assigned
• Complete tasks listed on daily agenda or as assigned (i.e., maintenance of store, lighting, cleaning)
