Job summary

Equus Workforce Solutions is seeking a Training Coordinator in Dayton, OH to organize and deliver workforce development programs. You will coordinate instruction, manage client schedules, maintain assessments, and document progress to ensure successful outcomes for job seekers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Arts in Education or Social Service field; 3–5 years of experience in training, education or career development in workforce development.
  • Ability to interact with diverse individuals including those in specialized populations, and demonstrate a positive and professional attitude.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, team environment that is performance driven.
  • Excellent customer service and engagement skills; prefer training or experience in motivational interviewing and care management techniques.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with publicly-funded programs; TANF experience preferable.
  • Ability to use various electronic systems to carry out duties and responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and facilitate instruction in an orderly and professional manner.
  • Ensure that clients complete and turn in assignments as scheduled.
  • Maintain individual schedules for clients preparing for exams such as TASC.
  • Maintain client's assessments in files and client database.
  • Complete case notes on a weekly and as needed basis.
  • Facilitate customized workshops as well as contextualized literacy workshops for job search tools.
  • Discuss sector-specific needs and industry standards.
  • Plan, organize, and direct the provision of all training activities in alignment with requirements.
  • Assist clients with identifying employers, skills and programs to reach career goals.
  • Collect client time sheets and ensure accurate reporting of attendance weekly.
  • Evaluate the success of training and development programs; amend and revise programs as necessary to meet quality goals.

Job Description

Qualifications
  • Minimum of a Bachelor of Art in Education or Social Service field, three to five years of experience in training, education or career development in the workforce development field career counseling or a combination of relevant course work or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to interact with diverse individuals including those in specialized populations, and demonstrate a positive and professional attitude
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
  • Experience in a fast-paced, team environment that is performance driven
  • Exceptional customer service and engagement skills; prefer training or experience in motivational interviewing and care management techniques
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
  • Experience with publicly-funded programs; Temporary Assistance for Needy Families experience preferable
  • Experience in assessing the need for and making reasonable accommodations for customers
  • Knowledge of laws and regulatory requirements related to program responsibilities
  • Ability to use various electronic systems to carry out duties and responsibilities
