Job summary

Priority Dispatch Corp. is seeking a dedicated Resident Assistant / Certified Nursing Assistant to assist nurses in delivering quality resident care in line with physician orders and policy. You will perform rounds, support activities of daily living, and respond promptly to resident needs while maintaining confidentiality.

Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY:Assists nurses to provide nursing care to residents according to physicians’ orders and in conformance with recognized practices, established standards and administrative policies.MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Makes rounds to check conditions of residents according to schedule.2. Assists residents with the activities of daily living.3. Observes and reports adverse signs, symptoms and/or conditions of residents4. Directs and assists residents as needed; directs and assists residents to dining room, assistwith seating, serving and cutting food, serving beverages, salads, etc., and feedingresident.5. Answers call lights and responds to resident needs in a timely, efficient and professionalmanner.6. Reports all incidents; completes reports as needed.7. Reports changes and information regarding residents to the nurse or Assisted LivingAdministrator.8. Maintains cleanliness and neatness of work areas.9. Serves as an advocate for resident rights and choice.10. Maintains confidentiality of resident care and issues.11. Provides room service to residents as needed.12. Strictly practices universal precautions, handwashing and general hygienic principles.13. Records pertinent resident information in communication logs each shift.Major Job responsibilities, continued:14. Attends monthly staff meetings and in-services.15.
