Job summary

Mission Technologies is seeking a versatile Data Scientist / Power Platform Developer to blend advanced analytics with low-code automation. The role delivers insights, automates workflows, and builds scalable applications using Python/R, ML, and the Power Platform across stakeholders.

Responsibilities include creating dashboards with Power BI, deploying models, and integrating data sources like Dataverse, SharePoint, and SQL.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Python or R for data modeling, machine learning, and data manipulation.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Proficiency building solutions within the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI).
• Experience with data visualization and reporting strategies.
• Ability to integrate business requirements into practical analytical or automation solutions.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking.
• Excellent communication skills—able to explain technical topics to non-technical audiences.
• Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance or higher.

Responsibilities

Role

HII-Mission Technologies is seeking a versatile Data Scientist / Power Platform Developer who will blend advanced analytics with low‑code automation to support business operations and decision‑making. This role uses data modeling, machine learning, and Microsoft Power Platform solutions to deliver insights, automate workflows, and create scalable applications for stakeholders across the organization.

This requisition supports hiring at multiple experience levels. Final placement will be determined based on the selected applicant’s qualifications, experience, and skill sets.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Collect, process, and analyze structured and unstructured datasets from various sources

Minimum Qualifications

• Level 3: 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in realted field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
• Level 4: 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.
• Level 5: 15 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 13 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 10 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 19 years relevant experience.
• Hands‑on experience with Python or R for data modeling, machine learning, and data manipulation
• Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases
• Proficiency building solutions within the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI)
• Experience with data visualization and reporting strategies
• Ability to integrate business requirements into practical analytical or automation solutions
