Stewarding Supervisor (Full-Time)

Trail Drive Management Corporation – Dickies Arena of Fort Worth, TX

Dickies Arena is a 14,000 seat, multipurpose venue located adjacent to the Will Rogers Memorial Center campus in Fort Worth, Texas. The arena is owned by the City of Fort Worth and managed by the not-for-profit Trail Drive Management Corp (TDMC). Opened in November 2019, it hosts concerts, sporting events, family entertainment, and is the home of Fort Worth Stock Show rodeo performances.

Reports to: Chief Steward/ Culinary Leadership Team

Supervisory responsibility: Oversees part-time stewarding staff, focusing on uniform room, dishwashing, laundry, and related operations.

Job Description

The Stewarding Supervisor supports the Executive Steward and F&B leadership by overseeing all back-of-house Food and Beverage operations, supervising dishwashing staff, and maintaining safety and sanitation standards. The role involves managing inventory, supporting equipment and smallware organization, and collaborating with other departments to ensure efficient operations. This is a full-time, event-based position within the F&B Department, with hours varying by event schedule.

Essential Functions

• Assist with training and supervising stewarding staff in dishwashing and sanitation practices.
• Ensure safety and sanitation standards are maintained.
• Oversee effective and efficient work of dishwashing staff.
• Manage multiple projects and coordinate equipment and supply logistics.
• Support hiring, training, staffing, and scheduling of stewarding team members.
• Engage with guests and team members to ensure excellent hospitality.
• Oversee inventory and proper storage of stewarding equipment and supplies.
• Coordinate repairs, maintenance, and asset management for stewarding operations.
• Supervise staff, ensuring proper breaks and efficiency.
• Perform other duties as assigned by F&B leadership.

Competencies

• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of safety, sanitation, and inventory control.
• Ability to operate mechanical equipment and forklifts.
• Valid food handler, TABC, forklift, and vehicle safety certifications preferred.

Physical Demands

This role requires frequent movement, standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Exposure to heat, noise, and cleaning chemicals is common. Proper protective clothing is required, and safety precautions must be followed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years old.
• 1-2+ years leadership experience in hospitality preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs, and work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
