Job summary

L’Auberge Del Mar is seeking a Stewarding Supervisor to lead the stewarding team and ensure the kitchen and restaurant wares remain pristine, while coordinating with events and banquet staff in a fast-paced luxury hotel environment.

The role requires supervisory experience, flexibility for evenings and weekends, and a focus on cleanliness and guest satisfaction within a renowned coastal property in Del Mar.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year in a Supervisor role, preferably in Stewarding.
• Ability to lift moderate weight.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Experience in taking care of guests in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Bi-lingual Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the stewarding team to ensure efficient cleanup across AM/PM shifts.
• Maintain water temperatures and chemical levels; document in compliance logs.
• Assist with banquet plate-ups and banquet organization.
• Assist cooks and kitchen staff with various tasks as needed.
• Attend banquet meetings to understand event expectations and delegate to stewarding team.

The Job:

As a Stewarding Supervisor in the Stewarding Department, you will have the opportunity to make the hotel shine! Our Stewards are the backbone of the hotel and work diligently to maintain the cleanliness of our kitchens and restaurant kitchenware. The Steward also assists with organizing and cleaning storage areas, as well as preparing for food service. The Stewarding Supervisor leads this hardworking team and is a crucial role in which you directly impact the guests stay and have the ability to create memories that will last a lifetime! Stewarding Supervisor is Direct and assist stewards to ensure cleanup is efficient through AM/PM shifts. Ensure water temperatures, and chemical levels are appropriate for cleaning and documented in compliance logs. Assist with banquet plate-ups, banquet organization. Assist cooks and kitchen staff with various tasks as needed. Attended banquet meetings to understand event expectations and delegate to stewarding team as necessary.

Requirements

Minimum 1 year in Supervisor role, preferably in Stewarding

Ability to consistently lift, pull and push a moderate weight

Ability to stand for long periods of time

Experience in taking care of guests in a fast-paced environment

Flexible schedule availability including evenings and weekends

Bi-lingual spanish preferred
