Job summary

Hard Rock Casino Cincinnati is seeking a Steward to support the cleaning operations and ensure restaurants are supplied with clean dishes and silverware in line with business needs.

The role focuses on creating guest-friendly service, maintaining department standards, and assisting with inventory and equipment upkeep. The position requires at least 1 year in the Stewards' Department, background checks, and compliance with regulations. 21+ and drug screening are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one-year progressive experience within the Stewards' Department.
• Must obtain and maintain valid licenses/certifications per Federal, State, and Gaming/Lottery regulations.
• Must successfully pass background check.
• Must successfully pass drug screening.
• Must be 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Create an atmosphere that encourages guests to choose Hard Rock Casino Cincinnati for gaming entertainment and mentor team members to deliver superior guest service.
• Follow and maintain department objectives to ensure proper operation of the department.
• Assist in ordering and receiving non-food items within the Food & Beverage Department and maintain inventory par levels.
• Inspect equipment and ensure it is in working order per safety and cleanliness standards; authorize replacement parts as needed.
• Maintain open communication with Executive Chef and Director of Food & Beverage.
• Attend meetings and complete follow-up tasks.
• Perform work regularly and predictably; other duties as assigned.

Job Description:

The incumbent in this position is responsible for steward and cleaning operations, ensuring restaurants are supplied with clean dishes and silverware according to business needs.

Responsibilities

• Creates an atmosphere that induces guests to make Hard Rock Casino Cincinnati their choice for gaming entertainment; responsible for actively building and retaining guest relations and acts as a mentor to team members in order to provide superior guest service.
• Follows and maintains department objectives, standards, and guidelines to ensure proper operation of department.
• Assists in ordering and receiving all non-food items within the Food & Beverage Department, ensuring adequate par levels of inventory.
• Inspects equipment and ensures all equipment is in working order and up to Hard Rock safety and cleanliness standards; authorizes replacement parts for equipment in the food departments.
• Maintains open lines of communications with the Executive Chef and Director of Food & Beverage.
• Attend and participate in meetings, completing follow-up as assigned.
• Perform work regularly and predictably.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

This knowledge and these abilities are typically acquired through a minimum of one-year progressive experience within the Stewards' Department.

• Must obtain and maintain a valid driver's and all licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Gaming/Lottery regulations.
• Must successfully pass background check.
• Must successfully pass drug screening.
• Must be 21 years of age.

KNOWLEDGE OF:

• Pertinent federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations.
• All operations of the Stewards' Department.
