Job summary

Compass Group, North America is seeking a part-time Steward to maintain clean and orderly kitchen areas and equipment at Northwestern Oklahoma State University.

The role includes evening shifts, sanitation duties, and collaboration with food service teams. Will train new hires; prior sanitation experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Prior sanitation work experience is a plus.
• Part-time availability Sundays through Thursdays 5:00 pm–9:00 pm.
• Willingness to perform kitchen and sanitation tasks in a college food service setting.

Responsibilities

• Sweep and mop floors to meet safety and sanitation standards.
• Operate dishwashing machines, sanitizers, trash compactors, and glass crushers.
• Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, and food prep surfaces as assigned.
• Transfer supplies between storage and work areas following safe lifting rules.
• Assist with banquet setup and front-of-house as needed.
• Load, unload, and deliver supplies and product.

Location: Northwestern Oklahoma State University

• We are hiring immediately for a part time STEWARD position.

• Address : 709 Oklahoma Boulevard, Alva, OK 73717. Note: online applications accepted only.

• Schedule : Part time schedule; Sunday through Thursday, 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. More details upon interview.

• Requirement : Prior experience with sanitation work is a plus.

• Pay Range: $11.00 per hour to $12.00per hour.

Job Summary

Summary: Perform job duties required to maintain kitchen work areas, kitchen equipment in clean and orderly condition.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Sweeps and mops floors at appropriate intervals to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards.

• Operates large electric machines such as dishwashers, sanitizers, trash compactors, and glass crushers.

• Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks and all other food prep surfaces as assigned.

• Segregates and removes trash and garbage and places it in designated containers. Steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans in appropriate and assigned areas.

• Washes dishes, pots, pans, utensils and other food preparation machines and equipment.

• Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas observing all safe lifting standards.

• Assists with banquet table and front of the house set up as requested.

• Assist with loading or unloading and delivering supplies and product.

• Distributes supplies, utensils and portable equipment as needed.

• Complies with all outlined sanitation and safety requirements.

• Perform other duties as assigned.
