Job summary

Compass Group USA is seeking an on-call Steward at Embassy Suites Orlando North in Altamonte Springs, FL. The role covers kitchen sanitation and equipment maintenance with flexible Sunday–Saturday shifts from 7:00 AM–1:00 PM or 5:00 PM–11:00 PM.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of steward experience and can perform essential duties such as cleaning floors, washing dishes, and assisting with setup and delivery of supplies. Pay ranges from $15.00 to $16.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• One year of steward experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Sweep and mop floors to meet safety and sanitation standards.
• Operate large electric machines such as dishwashers, sanitizers, trash compactors, and glass crushers.
• Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks and other food prep surfaces.
• Segregate and remove trash and garbage and dispose of it properly.
• Wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils and other food preparation equipment.
• Move supplies between storage and work areas observing safe lifting standards.
• Assist with banquet setup and with loading/unloading supplies as needed.
• Distribute supplies and equipment as required.
• Follow all sanitation and safety requirements.

Job Summary

Perform job duties required to maintain kitchen work areas, kitchen equipment in clean and orderly condition.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Sweeps and mops floors at appropriate intervals to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
• Operates large electric machines such as dishwashers, sanitizers, trash compactors, and glass crushers.
• Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks and all other food prep surfaces as assigned.
• Segregates and removes trash and garbage and places it in designated containers. Steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans in appropriate and assigned areas.
• Washes dishes, pots, pans, utensils and other food preparation machines and equipment.
• Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas observing all safe lifting standards.
• Assists with banquet table and front of the house set up as requested.
• Assist with loading or unloading and delivering supplies and product.
• Distributes supplies, utensils and portable equipment as needed.
• Complies with all outlined sanitation and safety requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
