Job summary

Hotel Heron, part of Aparium, in Old Town Alexandria, is hiring a full-time Steward/Dishwasher to maintain sanitation and support kitchen operations. You will wash dishes by hand or with machines, dry and polish serviceware, and help keep dining rooms and kitchens clean.

This hourly position requires 40+ hours per week, 5 days. Located minutes from Washington, DC, Hotel Heron is a Curio Collection by Hilton property with modern event spaces and elevated guest rooms.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience in dishwashing or similar role
• Ability to operate dish machines, cleaning tools and other equipment safely
• Ability to follow instructions, anticipate needs and multitask
• Can work independently and in a team environment
• Must be on your feet for at least 8 hours
• Must be able to move, pull or lift at least 35 pounds
• Must be able to climb stairs multiple times per shift

• Report any maintenance deficiencies to appropriate resource

Hotel Heron is looking for full-time stewards to join our team! The Steward/Dishwasher is a crucial part of the team to ensure high standards of sanitation and cleanliness for our guests. This position is paid hourly, and candidates must be willing to work 40+ hours, 5 days a week.
