Job summary

Bass Pro Shops in Ashland, VA is seeking a part-time dishwasher to maintain a clean, sanitary dish area and support a fast-paced kitchen. You will operate dishwashing equipment, ensure supplies, and uphold health standards in a safe, organized workspace.

Responsibilities

• Operates dishwashing equipment to ensure clean tableware at all times.
• Maintain hygiene and sanitation standards as required by Health Department.
• Follow proper food storage, handling and preparation standards.
• Adhere to Ecosure standards.
• Keep dish area clean and safe; manage waste and storage.
• Handle chemicals safely for cleaning and sanitizing.
• Complete training requirements.
• All other duties as assigned.

Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Steward properly clean, store and maintain all washable items within a sanitary and safe working environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Operates dishwashing equipment to ensure adequate supplies of clean and sanitary tableware at all times.
• Maintains personal hygiene and sanitation standards as established by Health Department.
• Follows proper food storage, handling and preparation standards.
• Adheres to established Ecosure standards.
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment through regular floor maintenance, trash removal, proper storage of equipment and cleaning of Dish area prior to the end of each shift.
• Handles and uses chemicals needed to clean and sanitize tableware in a safe manner.
• Complete all training requirements.
• ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma/GED preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Regular walking, standing, lifting up to 50lbs, bending, stooping, climbing, etc.

INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT

• Performs tasks and duties under direct supervision, using well-defined policies and procedures. Work is reviewed by supervisor. Limited opportunity exists for exercising independent judgment and decision making.

Starting Pay Rate: $2.13 - $250.00
