Job summary

LightHouse Dental – Chatham is seeking a Sterilization Assistant to join our care‑driven team. You will clean, package, sterilize, and store instruments in line with IPAC standards and provincial regulations.

You will operate sterilization equipment, document testing, maintain accurate records for compliance, and support a safe, organized reprocessing area while collaborating with the clinical team to ensure smooth patient flow.

Qualifications

• Previous clinical experience in sterilization is an asset.
• Completion of accredited Dental Assisting and/or MDRT programs preferred.
• Experience with IPAC is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Clean, package, sterilize, and store dental instruments per IPAC standards.
• Operate and monitor sterilization equipment and document tests.
• Maintain accurate records for compliance and audit readiness.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and organized reprocessing area.
• Identify and report equipment or sterilization issues promptly.
• Collaborate with the clinical team to support efficient patient flow.

The wage for this Sterilization Assistant position is$20-$22/hour depending on skills, experience, and location.
