Job summary

Valley Oral and Facial Surgery in West Fargo, ND is seeking a Sterilization Technician to support the dental team by preparing, sterilizing, and maintaining instruments and work areas to the highest safety standards. You will operate sterilizers and cleaners, document cycles, assemble trays, and help with infection control and room setup, contributing to efficient procedures and patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in a dental, oral surgery, medical, or sterile processing environment is preferred.
• Experience with sterilization processes and infection control protocols.
• Familiarity with OSHA and universal precaution protocols in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform decontamination, cleaning, inspection, packaging, and sterilization of instruments and equipment.
• Operate and maintain sterilizers, ultrasonic cleaners, and reprocessing equipment.
• Monitor sterilization cycles and maintain logs for compliance and traceability.
• Assemble, organize, and prepare surgical trays and materials for procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment per OSHA and infection control standards.
• Support surgical and clinical teams during procedures and communicate instrument flow.
