Job summary

Providence Health Plan Group is seeking a Tech-Sterile Processing 1 to clean, inspect, maintain, sterilize and distribute sterile instrumentation and equipment for surgical cases and other procedures.

The role collaborates with other departments, adheres to sterile processing standards, and acts as a patient safety advocate. Requirements include a sterile processing course and 1 year of healthcare experience; certifications within 18 months are encouraged.

Qualifications

Successful completion of a sterile processing course, or equivalent education/experience.
1 year of healthcare experience.
Within 18 months of hire: National Certified Registered Central Service Technician - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association, or
Within 18 months of hire: National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution

Responsibilities

Clean, inspect, maintain, proper sterilization and distribution of sterile instrumentation and equipment.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure supplies and instrumentation are available for surgical cases and other procedures.
Adhere to sterile processing standards and act as a patient safety advocate.
