Job summary

Mayo Clinic is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to clean, package and sterilize instruments for surgical procedures. You will support operating room staff by ensuring tools are ready and properly organized, while adhering to safety protocols.

No prior healthcare experience is required for training; on-the-job instruction includes mentorship and comprehensive paid training. This role offers full benefits and relocation assistance in Minnesota.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older at start date.
• Able to stand and walk for extended periods during shift.
• Able to lift/move more than 25 pounds.
• Able to use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• CRCST certification required within 18 months of hire; training on the job provided.

As a Sterile Processing Technician, you playan important rolein patient care by cleaning, preparing, and sterilizing the instruments used in surgical procedures. While you will not work directly with patients, your work ensures operating room staff have the tools they need to provide safe, effective treatment.

As a Sterile Processing Technician, you will:

Qualifications

• Mustbe 18 years of age prior tostartdate.

License or Certification

• Certification as a Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) isrequiredwithin18 monthsof hire
• Training is provided on the job
• Exam costs are covered by the organization
• Pay increase upon certification

Individuals hired to this position will berequiredto complete up to 2 years in this position before becoming eligible to transfer to other positions within Mayo Clinic.
