Job summary

Astrana Health in Tustin, CA is hiring a Sterile Processing Technician to support the Surgery & Recovery department. You will help prepare and stock the operating room, maintain sterile fields, and assist with instrument handling to ensure patient safety.

This on-site role requires 6 months of sterile processing experience, strong attention to detail, and good communication. The position offers hourly pay between $22 and $32, with opportunities to grow within our clinical support teams.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months sterile processing knowledge and experience.
• Training in high-level disinfection and sterilization processes.
• Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
• AHA Basic Life Support certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains patient safety by creating and preserving a sterile field and assisting with positioning.
• Prepares surgical trays and instruments and assists with irrigation solutions under supervision.
• Manages equipment, performs quality checks, and supports sterilization processes.
• Maintains a safe environment of care by disposing of waste and sharps and following OR safety procedures.
• Demonstrates professional communication and patient privacy in caregiving.
