Job summary

WH Wheeling Hospital Inc. is seeking a sterile processing professional to decontaminate, prepare, and distribute surgical instruments across the surgery center, hospital, and physician offices, following infection control practices.

You will inspect and maintain equipment, track sterilized items, and ensure compliance with policies. This full-time role requires a high school diploma, sterile processing certification, and prior experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Certification in sterile processing preferred.
• Previous sterile processing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Retrieves contaminated instruments and delivers sterile instruments to where needed.
• Removes debris by manually cleaning instrument.
• Responsible for the operation and maintenance of decontamination equipment.
• Inspects instruments and equipment to ensure the safety of our patients.
• Tests and reports detected problems with all equipment.
• Responsible for organizing, storing, and keeping records of sterile supplies.
