Job summary

Bingham Healthcare is seeking Sterile Processing Technicians to join the Surgical Services team at Bingham Memorial Hospital in Blackfoot, ID. This role focuses on decontamination, inspection, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments and equipment to support safe patient care.

You will work with a dedicated team, ensuring adherence to infection prevention standards and quality control while maintaining accurate documentation and inventory.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, inspect, assemble, package, and sterilize instruments and equipment
• Operate sterilization equipment and monitor sterilization processes
• Perform quality checks to ensure sterility and safety
• Rotate inventory and maintain supply levels for patient care
• Follow infection prevention and aseptic techniques
• Maintain accurate sterilization records and documentation
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards
• Support efforts to reduce healthcare-associated infections through proper instrument processing
• Process, stock, and distribute sterile supplies organization-wide
• Deliver and retrieve instruments between Bingham Healthcare facilities
• Assist with inventory management and supply organization
• Collaborate with Surgical Services and other departments to ensure timely equipment availability

Education

High School Diploma or GED
