Job summary

Mass General Brigham's North Shore Medical Center is seeking a Central Sterile Technician to perform decontamination, inspection, assembly, and sterilization of reusable medical devices in accordance with IFU and regulatory standards.

The role requires attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and effective teamwork; a high school diploma is required, CRCST preferred, and 1-2 years of experience is desirable.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Experience as a Central Sterile Technician or similar role preferred (1-2 years).
• CRCST or CSPD T certification preferred; certification boards preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs decontamination, inspection, assembly, packaging and sterilization of instruments per IFU.
• Operates washers and sterilizers following department policies.
• Ensures instrument traceability with tracking systems and maintains stock levels.
• Transports instruments to clinical areas and communicates issues promptly.
