Job summary

Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, CA is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician for full-time evening shifts.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, check, assemble, sterilize and distribute reusable surgical/clinical instrumentation and implants.
• Operate steam autoclaves, hydrogen peroxide sterilizers, sonic equipment, automated washers and heat sealers.
• Store, date, rotate and distribute sterile instrumentation across the hospital.

Sterile Processing Technician at Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, CA. Positions available are Full - Time, you will work 8-hour Evening shifts in this role.\

Under supervision this position is responsible for decontaminating, operationally checking, assembling, sterilizing, and distributing reusable surgical/clinical instrumentation and implants throughout the hospital. Operates steam (autoclave), H2O2 (hydrogen peroxide) sterilizers, sonic equipment, automated washers and heat sealers; store, date, rotate and distribute reusable surgical/clinical instrumentation.\

Required Qualifications:

• Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement.\

• Within 1 year of hire National Certified Registered Central Service Technician - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association, or\

• Within 1 year of hire National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution\

• Graduate from a central service program.\
