Job summary

Holders of a Sterile Processing program credential and 1 year of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Program Graduate, Sterile Processing (Preferred).
• 1 year Sterile processing experience (Preferred).
• Certified Board Sterile Processing Distribution (CSPDT) or similar certifications upon hire (Required) or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge and apply it to instrument/equipment/room decontamination and sterilization to meet standards (AORN, AMMI, ISSHAM, CDC).
• Provide a safe, efficient environment using protective equipment and follow safety guidelines. Identify variances or noncompliance.
• Assist in turnover of procedure/operating rooms including cleaning and instrument handling.
• Support production and assembly of instruments and trays, aligning priorities with patient and OR needs.
• Demonstrate intermediate to advanced sterile processing knowledge and may support customer service as needed.
• Complete sterile documentation and logs accurately.
