Job summary

Summerlin Hospital, part of the Valley Health System owned by Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS), is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician.

This 496-bed facility provides emergency, maternity, pediatric, cardiovascular, and oncology services, with a focus on safety and efficiency. You will reprocess surgical instrumentation, operate cleaning and sterilization equipment, maintain quality records, and support inventory and case-cart preparation.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Twelve months minimum in Sterile Processing preferred.
• All SPD staff must be proficient in spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Manage the reprocessing cycle for surgical instrumentation and related tasks (disassembly, decontamination, disinfection, inspection, testing, assembly, packaging, labeling, high level disinfection, sterilization).
• Operate ultrasonic cleaners, washers, sterilizers and other equipment.
• Complete quality monitoring and documentation; prepare case carts for surgery; assist with inventory and training of staff.
