Methodist Midlothian Medical Center is seeking a Part-Time Sterile Processing Technician. The role includes receiving and delivering supplies, sterilizing instrument trays, and preparing carts for surgical cases.

You will clean equipment, inspect instruments, and assist with inventory and restocking while operating basic hospital systems. Qualified candidates have a high school diploma, completion of a sterile processing program, and surgical technologist training.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of an approved Sterile Processing Technician Program.
• Graduate of a Surgical Technologist Program.
• On the job training in a hospital-based program is expected.

Job Description

Job Purpose: Receives fills and delivers supply orders, processes and sterilizes instrument trays. Cleans and inspects patient equipment, gathers instruments and supplies for surgical case carts. Operates equipment as well as some computer systems, inventories and restocks departmental supplies and special carts.

Job Requirements

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Graduate of an approved Sterile Processing Technician Program
• Graduate of a Surgical Technologist Program
• On the job training in a hospital-based training program

Licenses and/or Certifications:

• Certification by HSPA (formerly IAHCSMM) or CBSPD
