Job summary

Centennial Hills Hospital Medical Center in Las Vegas, NV, is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to manage the reprocessing cycle for surgical instruments. The role requires CRCST certification, strong English proficiency, and experience with ultrasonic cleaners, sterilizers, and related equipment.

You will perform quality monitoring, assist with inventory, and support case cart preparation for surgeries while upholding high standards of care and customer service.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Certification as CRCST through Healthcare Sterile Processing Association is required and must be maintained.
  • Proficient in spoken and written English due to technical nature of role.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the reprocessing cycle for surgical instrumentation, including disassembly, decontamination, disinfection, inspection, testing, assembly, packaging, labeling, high level disinfection and sterilization.
  • Operates ultrasonic cleaners, washers and sterilizers and ensures equipment is properly maintained.
  • Performs quality monitoring, documentation and quality assurance activities.
  • Assists with supply inventory management and case cart preparation for surgery.
  • Mentors and trains new Sterile Processing Techs to uphold standards of excellence and customer service.

Twelve months minimum in Sterile Processing preferred.

Technical Skills:

Due to the highly technical nature, especially related to interpretation of manufacturer’s Instructions For Use (IFU), ALL SPD staff must be proficient in spoken and written English.

License/Certification:

Certification as Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) through Healthcare Sterile Processing Association is required. Certification must be maintained.

Other:

Various applications related to Instrument management (Censis, OneSource), Microsoft office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
