Job summary

Reid Health is seeking a Material Processing Technician for the Central Sterile Supply department. The role focuses on cleaning, sterilizing, and maintaining instruments and equipment used in patient care. You will work closely with surgical teams to ensure instruments are ready for procedures.

The position requires attention to detail, strong organization, and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting. Training is provided; certification is recommended but not required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or preferred
• Experience in a surgical environment is preferred
• Certification in Central Sterile Processing is beneficial

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect instruments and devices to ensure safety.
• Operate sterilization equipment and monitor cycles for quality control.
• Inspect instruments for cleanliness and integrity post-sterilization.
• Package and label instruments for storage and future use, maintain inventory
